挖藕人
以前，从来不知道冰天雪地还有人下水挖藕，直至看到了相关报道，深受震撼。 Previously, I never knew having people digging the roots of lotus by dipping themselves into water while the world is filled with ice and snow. I was deeply shocked until I saw the relevant reports.
在北京市通州台湖镇，有许多湖南、安徽来的外乡人来承包农田种藕，规模几亩到几百亩不等，有的已在此经营十年之久。很大部分的藕要在冬天出售，为了保质，他们会把藕塘灌上满满的河水。冬天的气温低至零下，藕塘白茫茫一片，结了一尺多厚的冰层。 In Toi Wu Zhun, Tongzhou, Beijing, many aliens from Hunan and Anhui have a lease of farmland to grow species of lotus. The size of the land under lease is a few acres to several hundred acres. Some of them have been in this business for ten years. Most of the roots of the lotus are sold in winter time. In order to guarantee the quality, they will fill up the ponds of lotus with water. The temperatures in winter is low below zero degree.
